About

Kayla Aldrich (she/her) is a lesbian writer living in Richmond, Virginia. In 2020, she earned a B.A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She works at a family literacy non-profit, and has served as an editor at Feels Blind Literary since 2022. The Soft Animal is her first novel with many, many more on the way.

She has not, and never will, use GenAI to write her books.

When she isn't writing, Kayla's favorite hobbies include baking for her loved ones, consuming LGBTQIA+ books and media, and taking long walks to sad jams. She is also a part-time Snoopy enthusiast, and will eagerly be attending BTS's comeback tour.
